Happy New Year everyone!
Reporting from 2025! How is everyone doing? I gotta say it's been an interesting start of the year with everything going on in the world. But let's not give up yet. Let's keep moving with our best foot forward.
First off, if you've forgotten.. this is me! It's been over a year or two since I've done a self-portrait session and I thought it was time to practice my skills again with what I had in my little studio apartment. Mind you, my cat kept attacking the curtains behind me. I had fun and they turned out great! Maybe this year I'll continue to challenge myself and be more creative with self-portraits.
So what's new? What's current?
As you may or may not know, I still have a 10% discount off of family packages: Memories & Legacy packages, until the end of April 2025. After that, they will be charged at full price so make sure to book with me now to get that discount!
Today, I just wanted to update my price sheet for you all and maybe share a bit of my new year's goals. If you recall, I opened up my services for families in October/November and it's been a blast and learning experience. I want to thank all the families that have worked with me so far and for being so patient.
In August 2024, I switched to a first-shift job and it has allowed me the freedom and time to focus more on my photography. Let me tell you it's been the best decision ever and I'm so grateful for this part of my life. I am blessed and fortunate that in the second half of 2024, my photography business has started to look up. I haven't enjoyed my work like this in a long time. It's really refreshing and happy to say again, I love doing what I'm doing with my craft because it allows me to connect with my clients and simply, to create.
That's why... in this year in 2025, I want my business and craft to be even bigger and better. I am committed to invest my time fully into this and try new marketing strategies that I couldn't do in the past. With that said, I am committed to being more self-disciplined with my time and energy. I love planning and I need to be more accountable and follow through... no matter how uncomfortable and afraid I will feel.
Lastly, besides other photography goals I have set for myself, I do want to start a new photo book project this year. I haven't fully locked down on a theme or concept yet... but that is the goal. I will, at least, start this year and see where it takes me. Look forward to it!
